Residential

Moving of Household Goods:
Moving can be stressful. From the challenges of finding a new home and starting new schools to the small details of setting up a household, making the transition from one home to another takes a lot of planning and hard work.

At Pensacola Moving and Storage, our employees strive to make your move as stress-free as possible. We treat your possessions like their own, and our drivers perform an in-depth inventory of your goods prior to loading. All furniture is padded inside the residence and then carried and loaded into the trailer. We place delicate items inside boxes and then gently place them inside the trailer.

Whether you are moving across town, across the country, or even around the world, United and Pensacola Moving and Storage can help you make a smooth transition into your new home.

Storage of Household Goods:
Your belongings are precious, but there are times when you could probably use fewer of them underfoot. Our secure household storage gives you the opportunity to make transitions at your leisure rather than living in chaos. For example, it can take time to get settled in a new home, and it's a job made more difficult if you are working in a maze of crates and boxes. Or maybe you are remodeling and need to clear a room or two while under construction. We'll load up your goods and store them in our secured vaults. You can choose long- or short-term storage, so whether you are relocating out of town, downsizing, or renovating, we have a convenient option.

Items are loaded directly into secure storage vaults at your residence and remain closed in storage until you have them returned to your home. If the goods are delivered outside the Pensacola area, the vaults will be unloaded, and then the van operator will check the goods that he receives against the inventory that was performed at loading

At Pensacola Moving and Storage, we know that careful planning and preparation can help take the stress out of moving. We want to make the process as simple and painless as possible. As a United affiliate, we offer the following tips to get you started in planning your move:

Step 1 - Plan Your Move

Get your free moving quote. The most accurate quote is obtained when a Pensacola Moving and Storage agent contacts you to set up a free, in-home survey and determine your moving needs. Tell them everything you will be moving, and what you will leave behind.

Your Pensacola Moving and Storage agent will provide you with a booklet called "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move," which covers important information consumers must have prior to the move.

Step 2 - Pack and Load

Your Pensacola Moving and Storage packing team will arrive one to two days before your move date to begin packing. When packing, separate items according to who will be transporting them: Pensacola Moving and Storage or you. This will prevent any confusion during loading.

On moving day, the van operator will inventory your belongings that need to be moved and provide you with an inventory form that you must sign. Once signed, the loading process begins. After loading, the van operator will let you know when to expect your shipment delivery based upon your pre-planned window of delivery. You will receive a phone call within 24 hours of your delivery, which will be your final confirmation. Make sure you provide your van operator with your contact information.

Step 3 - Unload and Unpack

After your belongings are unloaded, the driver will request your signature on all delivery documents. If anything has been lost or damaged, please note these items on the inventory form before you sign.

Moving Tip: Our drivers are required to assemble bed frames and unpack mattress cartons to setup all beds. Please contact your agent if you need additional services.
